Participant Accident Coverage

• Participants, volunteers and officials age 85 years of age and younger 
• Participants of most sports and activities that K&K Canada covers for Commercial General Liability, as well as provincial or national associations providing those sports or activities 
• Members of a sports or recreation organization approved by K&K Canada, who wish to purchase the coverage as part of a package

(Including but not limited to) 

Ineligible sports and activities include, but are not limited to the following: 

• Activities with professional athletes or professional race car drivers

Commercial General Liability

• Accidental Death & Dismemberment Benefit, covering injuries such as loss of a limb, loss of hearing, or permanent total disability 
• Out of pocket Medical Accident Expenses such as hospital charges, services of a nurse, prescription drugs, rental of a wheelchair, paramedical services such as a physiotherapist, emergency transportation, and family transportation to visit the injured person  
• Benefits to help resume daily life after the accident such as Rehabilitation Benefit, Therapeutic Counselling, Babysitting, Tutorial Expense, Home Alteration and Vehicle Modification 
• Dental Accident Expense Benefit (Optional coverage) 
• Weekly Accident Indemnity Benefit for Owners & Hired Employees (Optional Coverage) 
• Fracture Indemnity Benefit (Optional Coverage)

Most Benefits including Medical Coverage are paid in excess of any personal lines, government health plan, employee or other benefits available to claimants as they are intended to cover remaining out-of-pocket expenses. The Death and Dismemberment Benefit and Fracture Indemnity Benefit pay out as per the Policy Schedule of Benefits regardless of other coverage in place.   

• Injuries that do not arise during participation in a covered program
• Sickness or illness, pre-existing conditions
• Participants over age 85.

It is important to carefully review the terms and conditions of any insurance quotation. Please contact a K&K Canada representative if you have any questions.     

• Application must be submitted by a Canadian Licensed Broker.

• Please include the number of participants by sport or activity and by age group:  12 and Under; 13 to 18, and over 18.
